With the rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT) and intelligent technology, modern building management is transforming from traditional decentralized control to networked, integrated, and intelligent directions. As the core components of building safety and efficient operation, the stability, real-time performance, and manageability of elevator control systems and access control systems directly affect user experience and operating costs. However, traditional elevator control and access control equipment often use serial communication protocols such as RS-485/RS-32, which have pain points such as complex wiring, poor scalability, and difficulty in centralized control, and cannot meet the needs of smart buildings for data interoperability and remote operation and maintenance.
To solve this problem, a fusion solution based on serial port networking servers and industrial Ethernet switches has emerged. By seamlessly connecting serial devices to IP networks, the digital transformation of elevator control and access control systems is achieved, which not only retains the compatibility of the original devices, but also endows them with remote monitoring, intelligent linkage, data traceability and other capabilities. At the same time, the redundant networking and PoE power supply characteristics of industrial switches further enhance the reliability and deployment flexibility of the system, providing a solid network foundation for intelligent building management.
function implementation
Elevator control system:
Connect the elevator controller to the network through a serial port networking server to achieve card swiping permission layering, temporary visitor authorization, and fire emergency landing linkage.
VLAN division of switches isolates ladder control data flow to avoid conflicts with other systems.
Access control system:
Supports direct access of IP terminals such as facial recognition and mobile NFC to switches, while traditional card readers are connected to the network through serial servers.
The PoE function of the switch simplifies wiring and reduces deployment costs.
